FAKE Double Drabble: Something Cheerful

A/N: Double drabble.
With Dee in the hospital, recovering from being shot through the leg, Ryo had a slight problem. He wanted to visit the man who was both his work partner and best friend, but what should he take Dee? After all, showing up at the hospital without a gift would be mean.
Grapes were traditional, or perhaps chocolates; either would say clearly enough, sorry you got hurt, feel better soon, but they didn’t seem enough. They were too impersonal to convey how relieved he was that his partner hadn’t been blown to pieces along with Bikky’s school.
Maybe flowers… but did Dee even LIKE flowers? Then again, how could anyone NOT like them? They’d brighten up Dee’s room, and smell nice too, taking the edge off the perennial antiseptic and disinfectant odor that permeated every hospital.
But if he got flowers, what kind should he get? Not roses, obviously; they’d send the wrong message. In this case, flowers weren’t a romantic gesture. Maybe a mixed bunch, something bright and colorful: daisies, chrysanthemums, a few carnations, a bit of greenery to set them off…
Decision made, Ryo grabbed his jacket and headed for the nearest florist, hoping Dee would appreciate the gesture.
