A/N: Triple drabble.
Time with Angel was always so fleeting. Nights were never long enough; the time between sunset and whenever she had to head home to get some sleep after patrol passed in the blink of an eye. In contrast, the days at school would drag past, every class seeming to last an eternity as the teacher droned on about things Buffy was sure she’d never need to know.
She tried to concentrate, because her mom would worry, maybe even ground her, if her grades dropped, but thoughts of Angel would sneak in, and she’d wonder what he was doing.
Probably sleeping, or sitting in his basement apartment, reading a book, and waiting for the sun to go down. Did he think about her then, wishing for the day to end so he could step out into the night, using his keen vampire senses to find her? Could he smell her perfume on the warm breeze? Actually, that would be kinda creepy, but whatever. Even when they hadn’t made plans to meet, he always found her and then…
Hours could pass in what felt like a single heartbeat when they were together, patrolling, slaying, talking, or more often than not, making out. Angel’s kisses took her breath away, sent heat rushing through her entire body. She told him once that when he kissed her, she wanted to die, but at the same time he made her feel more intensely alive than she did at any other time.
Had she ever felt this way with anyone else? If she had she didn’t remember. Angel swept every memory of every other boy from her mind. There was no one else, never had been, and never would be.
Every time she had to walk away it got harder. She wished the sun would never rise.
