Ianto smirked, watching Jack get dressed. “You know, considering how much you enjoy getting naked, I have to wonder why you always wear both braces and a belt. Is it meant to reduce the temptation of dropping your trousers at a moment’s notice?”
Laughter greeted Ianto’s teasing. “As if! I don’t need to take my pants off to have fun, as you should know by now.” Jack winked at his lover.
“I have had ample opportunity to observe, and to participate,” Ianto agreed. “So, are you going to enlighten me?”
Jack gave an easy shrug. “Braces are part of the style, my pants have all the buttons for attaching them, so why not?”
“And they also have belt loops, so why not wear one of those as well?” Ianto raised an eyebrow.
“Ah, not exactly. I’d do without the belt if I could, but if I did that, I’d have nowhere to attach my holster.”
“So why not keep the belt and lose the braces?”
“Can’t. Do you have any idea how many times my braces have saved my life? Or even just come in handy for tying something up. They’re an easily portable, multi-purpose tool. Wouldn’t be without them.”
