Summary: Tosh reflects on the events that brought her to Torchwood.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
Sometimes Tosh feels bitter about what happened to her, the arrest, and her incarceration in the UNIT prison. Yes, she committed a crime, but she was manipulated into it; those people, whoever they were, kidnapped her mother, threatened to kill her if Tosh didn’t follow their instructions. She’d had little choice. If she’d reported the abduction, the kidnappers would probably have found out, and then they would’ve had no reason to keep her mother alive.
Tosh doesn’t deny that what she did was technically wrong, but she still believes it was her only possible course of action. She saved her mother’s life, and the terrorists were stopped before they could make use of the sonic modulator she built. Everybody won, so why was she simply thrown into that hellhole without so much as a trial?
She has every right to be angry. They meant for her to rot in that prison for the rest of her life, and yet…
When she thinks back, if events hadn’t played out the way they did, then she wouldn’t be here, now, with Torchwood. This is the best, most fulfilling job she’s ever had; how can she regret the events that brought her here?
