A/N: Double drabble.
Getting an entire day off from work was a rare occurrence when you worked for Torchwood, so much so that Ianto couldn’t even remember the last time he’d had a day to himself. A few hours here and there, time enough to do the shopping, a bit of cleaning, and get a load of laundry on, yes, but a day when he could forget about work, have a lie in, then do whatever the hell he wanted? Almost unheard of.
When he finally got up just after ten, he took a leisurely shower, dressed in casual clothes, and then while he was making coffee and fixing a late breakfast, he pondered what he’d do for the rest of the day. He’d caught up on essential chores the night before, so…
Sitting down at the kitchen table to eat, he turned on his phone, which he’d left charging downstairs overnight, and found he had seventy-one missed calls: forty-eight texts, and twenty-three voicemails, all from various members of the team wanting to know where he kept essential equipment, what to feed the inmates, and giving him a list of supplies to pick up for the Hub. So much for his day off.
