I found this very moving, somehow. It says a lot about not only your growth and change, but also your basic kindness. I'm touched that you still include him, even if you feel, now, that his influence on now-you is less than his influence on past-you. It's like a way not only of honoring him, but also of looking kindly on your own past, even if you feel quite changed now.

Well, you don't update very frequently and I have a huge friends list, so, to avoid missing a post from you, I have my LJ notifications set so that I get an email when you update. And, since I work all day at the computer, that means that I can respond very quickly :-)
