Fanficitis. I get it too. My problem words now are effect/affect, past/passed and loose/lose. Drives me insane because I used to know which was which lol.

Ah yes. Some of my all-time favorites as well.

But honestly, I really wasn't reading fic. I am still technically working (well not while I'm actually eating shit in LJ, but you know!) and the misspelled, misused words that have been flying around for the past two days in company correspondance just made me postal.

(Not to bitch or lay claim or anything, but I really could have used that Heero-homicidal emoticon today - you know the one ~__~)

LOL. In the place I used to work there was a sign on the wall saying that 'all children should be accopanied by an adult.' Drove me crazy the whole time I was there, even worse because it was a printed poster and not something hand written.

I'm still working on that emoticon set. If you're happy having the ones I have at the moment though I'll get the urls to you. It's been a while, I thought I'd have been finished by now.

You know... I've recently noticed several blatant errors in printed media. One of my favorite restaurants has ads in the menu booklet and a real estate company did the there/their thing. Same with not 1 but 2 ads at the cineplex; 2! that did the there/their thing too. I was appalled!

And I'd love the urls, but only if you have time. I haven't had much on-line time lately, but I'd love to share a little Hee-love in my emotis.

If there's anything to remember, it's that English is weird. T'was the first lesson on the first day of fifth grade, and enough books and writing have sufficiently proved the truth of the statement, lol.
