The two remaining categories that I really have any thoughts on are Best Artist and Best Related Work.
I have seen a few people suggest a few different artists.
Julie Dillon.
Vincent Chong. I don't feel passionately about anyone here.
Best Related Work is a bit more complex. I have a few different things in mind -- each of which is related in a different way.
Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void by Mary Roach is an excellent exploration of ... well, those things that we need to figure out before we can send people in long trips through interplanetary (or interstellar ... or inter-Earth-system) space. Related in the same way that Science is related to Science Fiction.
That's the one I've read in its entirety at this point. I'm working on two others:
Chicks Dig Time Lords: A Celebration of Doctor Who by the Women Who Love It, edited by Lynne M. Thomas and Tara O'Shea. Related because it's essays about a famous (wibbly wobbly timey wimey) science fiction character.
...and finally....
The Laundry RPG, written by Gareth Hanrahan, Jason Durall and John Snead. A sourcebook for roleplaying in the world of Charles Stross' Laundry Files. Using the same basic game system as the Call of Cthulhu RPG, in case you were curious.
Three very different yet still related books. Anything else? Or for that matter, any other artists to suggest? I have a few spots open in each of these categories.
Ballot due in a little over 2.5 weeks at this point....
