If you thought Dredd was bad-assed, you'll love JUDGE MINTY and his adventures in the Cursed Earth. I AM THE LAW, FUCKHEADS! 20 years, Iso-cubes!
You know, that Tannoy recording in Fairville had me thinking about things. How what people say is often diametrically opposite to what they mean. In the case of a lot of things if you have to say something, you probably don't mean it, especially if it's something that wouldn't have to be said at all if it were true. This is the friendliest town in the world! You can trust me! The cheque is in the post!
Language is used to deceive so often that it is becoming meaningless, like the radio chatter on the good Judges' comms gear. We're left in a desert of anti-language, utterly alone. Just like Judge Minty. Yes, this is an existentialist movie. Or at least what passes for it. Ultimately all that matters is what you are - in this case Minty is an agent of Justice, and finds meaning in bringing it to the Cursed Earth. Which he does by shooting people.
