This is not the ideal way to read something. But you should really consider reading it. At least try it? Ignore my underlining.

Everything made sense until I got to '4'. I shall have to re-read it, which will be an absolute pleasure!

that is quite the incredible journey of a story. i really enjoyed it. it is very good. i really enjoy the way he writes. he uses some really cool metaphors. it almost seemed like as each one went on, it made less and less sense, lol. :]

Dear friends,
I think we are barking up the wrong tree expecting meanings to drop on us.
The only way I was able to enjoy it is by seeing it as a time line of our lives drawn backwards. The last part is where we laid our hands on our first picture book and thought we were fish, snails, dragons or birds or wanted to be one of them. Then as we move back we have been growing, trying to make meaning out of our lives and we never did. We read about all this in the form of this short story and we still want to 'know what it all means'. Friends, like life, it has no meaning or purpose other than to make us enjoy moments. We had our share of it, right? What more are we looking for. It is a beautiful, clever no I didn't say clever, work of art. I admire it like I admire Taj Mahal.

While I value your opinion, anon, I'm not sure what you're saying...

I think this story is about loving a zombie/loving someone who is not right for you, and you need to escape even though it's very difficult.
