Considering going to a single-comment-thread model

Since one of the options claims that you never follow links to dreamwidth, and I figure for some people that's actually true, I'm replicating this poll by hand. Apparently crossposting polls doesn't work quite as smoothly as it could.

So far, the migration to dreamwidth hasn't crossed the critical threshold for me to figure out what's up and deal; I'm already overbooked trying to follow too many social networks, so adding another to the rotation is largely going to fail unless there's some particular time that I feel like following the like will be really beneficial, or until enough people are over there that I can drop some of my other social networking time.

I hate being overbooked like that, but there it is.

The best doc I can find, which I am sure you have seen, is
http://www.dreamwidth.org/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=123

Which links to where you can actually do stuff here:

http://www.dreamwidth.org/openid/

I *think* that, once you have confirmed your email, you can just type in coffeekitty.livejournal.com to the openid box, hit "login", check the "remember me" box, and then proceed to read journals and comment normally. I may be missing a step from when I was doing that, though.
