Hey to all of you out there. Some of you have kind of gotten to know me for quite some time, reading whatever I happen to throw at this journal. If you're new, you could have picked a better moment to intervene but that is okay. Stick around until you get bored.

I've been there. I go back to it sometimes. Please don't hurt yourself or anything. Whatever is gnawing at you is likely to pass.

There are a lot of videos on youtube that I found encouraging, and I don't just mean amateur videos, but videos by neuroscientists and psychologists and such, TEDTalks and whatnot, about how people can reform their lifestyle to overcome or prevent depression.

The best short one is likely < ahref="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drv3BP0Fdi8">"Depression is a disease of society" { link }, but they are many others, some longer and in much more detail, such as an hour-long Google talk about "Mindsight" or growing mental health, and another talk about "positive psychology" which goes beyond treating illness and looks to build mental health ( ... )
