Well yeah. We just finished reading about 600 of the 3000 lines in english on Friday. After sifting through all the filler(basically) and getting down to the main idea, it was really good. We only read about Beowulf's fight with Grendel, Grendel's mother, and the dragon though, so I have no idea what goes on in the rest of the story.
