Just seen on uk.media.radio.archers It requires >a Private Member's bill to go through, which rarely happens.
Unless the Government supports it, which in this case it does (of necessity). A Bill introduced by Lord Lee of Trafford has already been passed by the Lords, and Bob Russell has introduced a similar Bill in the Commons. The Government will suggest any necessary amendments to one or the other and as long as they are accepted it will very likely go through on the nod.
