It's a slang version of 'tabernacle'. In French-Canadian, we use Church words as curse words... and we string them... So like the Church by my house that is named Calvary Tabernacle has a very hilarious name for me as it's a common string of curses. :p

Ah, my fav. French-Canadian curse! I learned it a few yrs ago from some colleagues in Montreal - and I use it all the time now. :)
