Tomorrow night I teach my first session of RCIA at this parish, so I am preparing my outline for the night.
One of the items in the outline:
- get people’s names, promptly forget
I like to set realistic, achievable goals. ;)

Every time they have those "Hello, my name is..." name tags, I have to seriously resist writing in "Luka" .. I don't always succeed.

It's a modern conception of the process of initiation in the early Church. It's a program of catechesis and rituals of preparation before being welcomed into the Church, usually at Easter. Non-Christians are called catechumens and receive all three sacraments of initation: Baptism, Communion and Confirmation (Chrismation). Christians entering the Catholic Church are called Candidates and recieve Communion and Confirmation .. typically.
