The Grinch has to plan in advance.

A local radio station started playing Christmas music 24/7 on November 1st. Every time I accidentally land on that station I gasp and change it as quickly as possible. Ugh.

It's practically December, and I guess I'm more lenient...

At least you don't have to work at a retail location where Christmas stock went up in mid-October. *sigh*

I think the reason it perhaps shocks ME is because of how compounded it is with the excess of Christmas commercials that began the week of Oct. 31st, the Christmas music that has been playing nonstop at Home Depot and Lowe's all November, and the marked increase in holiday television specials ALREADY airing. I remember when you had to WAIT impatiently to see the good stuff until the second or third week of December!

Commercialism has hijacked the season!

Commercialism will hijack anything you can sell. :P

I won't let it ruin my Christmas, though. :)

Neither will we, but it always seems to ruin or almost ruin my Advent .. and it isn't even Advent yet.

That's because we already have everything Thanksgiving related (except the actual Thanksgiving day) way back in September......
