I was looking at your list and thinking that you've read all of the books from Gone With The Wind down... and I'm like... holy fuck! I know you read a lot, but holy fuck! Then I realise that something's going on with my LJ friends page, and all the entries from there down are written in bold. Weird... but then I came here to comment, and they're all still bold from Gone With The Wind down... so how many of them have you actually read!?

i know it's totally insane!!! after god of small things, i've read these books....i have to say, the list isn't THAT great...a lot of the books are popular fiction instead of good literary works..i mean seriously, that stupid eragon book was absolutely stupid...john grisham CAN"T be considered literary....he's popular and that's it...same with dan brown...and bryce courtenay isn't that yay either...they've all hit on a winning formula, and stuck by it...bleargh.

and i've read 29 of the books on the list...

Gone with the Wind - Margaret Mitchell
The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - J. K. Rowling
Kane & Abel - Jeffrey Archer
Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - J. K. Rowling

A Suitable Boy - Vikram Seth
The Horse Whisperer - Nicholas Evans

The Last Juror - John Grisham

Eragon - Christopher Paolini
