I would like to see a fic about Souji's impossible schedule. Like, the I.T finds his schedule book and are like whoa no way and find that some things are scheduled down to the minute - and they also find weird things in there, such as "find stickers for boy with no friends" or "Finish building mecha" or "figure out riddle-senpai's riddle" - that kind of stuff.

While her dreams tended to be as surreal as this one was turning out to be, normally she wasn’t aware of that fact until she woke. “It seems that your path will be joining our guest’s sooner than expected. “Fuck.”

The hissed word came from around the corner of the small nook that Naoto had buried herself and her work in - likely from one of the other isolated corners in the library.

“What the hell am I doing wrong…?” She froze in the middle of flipping to another page in the report she’d brought with her and listened, trying to identify the voice. “Nothing I do is changing anythingNaoto lowered the page and leaned over in her chair, trying to catch sight of who was speaking, but she’d chosen her out-of-sight table too well. She couldn’t see anyone else from it ( ... )

Thanks! While I know that the OP was probably thinking more of a crack fic when the request was made, my brain insisted on sticking plot in it. I should have more up later today.

She’d done every necessary task around her apartment that she could think of, and now she was sitting and staring at the planner. Again.

The presence of her handwriting in Seta’s planner threw off of her plan to return it once she’d had a look. Instead, she’d shoved it into her bag and began to pack up. She needed more answers than a quick look through would provide.

The fact that Seta woke as she was passing his table and noticed that his planner was missing had also rattled her. He’d started looking around frantically, and froze when he noticed her. A second later, he slumped.

“Shirogane-san,” he said in a quiet voice. “If you happen to find my planner, I would appreciate it if you return it.”

With that, he’d stood and walked past her, not even bothering to continue to look for the planner.

It was like he knew she was the one who had taken it.

Shaking her head, she opened the front cover of the planner, intending to start from the beginning, only to suck in a shocked breath.

Senpai - you ( ... )

“Welcome,” Igor said, “to the Velvet Room.”

Souji closed his eyes and let the familiar greeting pass over him. It was one of his rocks, something he knew he could depend on when November came and he once again failed Nanako. “Hello, Igor. Where’s Margaret?”

“We recently met with another visitor, one whose destiny had changed abruptly, and Margaret chose to spend some time speaking with her.” Igor’s hand had moved absently as he spoke, and four cards spread out on the table. Souji watched in silence as the old man flipped each point of the triangle in turn. From his silence, Igor seemed to be doing the reading more for himself than for Souji’s benefit.

“And the center?” Souji asked, when a few moments had passed and Igor made no move to reveal it.

He remained silent, but he did flip the card.

Fortune.Somehow, Souji wasn’t surprised ( ... )

anon wishes that P4 Golden was out already. That way there would be no need to reference the anime, let's plays, and youtube videos to shore up the memory of a single play-through of a borrowed game from last year.

Also, yes. Basing Souji's activities off the Max Social Link walkthrough.

The planner was both more informative and more bizarre than she had expected.

Informative, because it gave her potentially accurate information on Seta’s whereabouts on the days of the disappearances.

Bizarre, because beyond tasks such as “solve riddle for senpai” and “find angelic statue for meek classmate” and “receive ema from Fox”, there were references to entering a television and fighting shadows, whatever that meant ( ... )

A glance around showed that the shrine grounds were deserted, and she checked her watch. 8:15 AM.

If Seta was following his schedule, he would be here soon.

Naoto went through the ritual of purification and worship, familiar from many visits to shrines with her grandfather, then turned her attention to the reason she was there.

She rolled her eyes at the self-service booth - no wonder the shrine looked to be so run down - dropped her payment into the locked box, picked up a blank ema and stood for a moment, still undecided on exactly how to phrase her request.

She’d just finished hanging the ema when she heard footsteps approaching from behind. Checking her watch nonchalantly, Naoto turned to meet the assessing gaze of her target, and couldn’t help but recall the reason she was here.

Souji leaned back in the seat of the limousine, content to just listen to the faint amount of road noise that entered the vehicle. Igor, opposite him, had greeted him, then fell silent as well. Margaret had smiled in greeting, then resumed her study of the compendium.

"I learned something new today," he said finally, and the shock that had run through him that morning, when he ran into Naoto at the shrine, was still evident in his voice. It had been... years, truly, since the last time that he'd learned something new about any of his friends.

"I see," Igor replied, and Souji watched as he exchanged a glance with Margaret. "Do you regret your choice?"

He closed his eyes at the stab of sorrow, the memory of the day Nanako was put to rest beside her mother still sharp and vivid. "No," he spat out. "Never. It's just... I don't know how much longer I can go on like this. I don't know if I can stand meeting my friends again, and have them ( ... )

Naoto hung up, almost relieved to have an excuse to leave the police station. The majority of the officers she was working with were acting as if the capture of Kubo had solved everything, before he was well enough to actually interrogate, even though the sudden change in MO between murders implied that he was taking credit for crimes he did not commit.

Even knowing that Doijima shared her opinion didn’t help, as he was as outnumbered as she. He, at least, she thought resentfully, had the advantage of being older. When he spoke, they at least listened ( ... )
