If anon knows the author's gender, then they know the author personally, and should perhaps make the request to them directly.
That is true but that's also not my point. My point basically is that the author's gender is irrelevant to the discussion and the fact that the replying anon had to ask, "...how do you even know what gender that author is?" just makes it look like nitpicking.
Although from the post itself, I didn't see the "settling" sentiment at all, I can understand the second reply's sentiment, which is why my post only addressed the first reply. The first reply seemed too focused on the author -- how the author is on another site, how first anon was namedropping, the gender of the author -- that it gave me the impression they were having a bad day, saw something irritating on their fandom that they'd normally let pass by but couldn't this time.
No, this is the bizarre comment. Aren't you overreacting (incoherently at that)? None of what the previous anon said felt that way to me. As far as I know, the comment didn't read like this: Gee, I hope scatter drops by and sees this prompt because really, s/he's the only author who writes Souji/Yosuke well in this fandom, and yeah, it's totally in the spirit of an anonymous kink meme to be cliquish and narrow-minded about who fills what. None of that makes sense, and if you read that much into what's likely an offhand remark, well...
I know two others have already offered to write this, but I just couldn't resist and have started writing it myself. Never fear, your fill is coming slowly but surely~
When You Wish Upon an Ema 1a/??

It had been a while since Souji had visited the shrine. It had certainly changed a lot since he'd first seen it, all those many months ago, not quite derelict but not exactly well-kept either. Nowadays, it glittered with gold. But much more surprising was just how crowded it had become - before, he would find himself the only human on the premises, but now there was a modest line of people waiting to fill out an ema or give an offering to the gods. He glanced around to see if he could find the fox that guarded the shrine anywhere, but it was nowhere to be seen; hiding from the large crowd, perhaps. He couldn't blame it

Curiosity finally overcame him, and Souji pulled the ema from his pocket and gave it a cursory read.
He froze.
He read it again, more slowly.
“I'm in love with my best friend
Someday, please let him love me too”
He blushed. Maybe... maybe he'd been mistaken? Maybe someone else just so happened to have similar handwriting, because there was... there was no way this could have been written by Yosuke, so perhaps-
No, no, it had to be Yosuke's. Souji knew that not-quite-sloppy-but-not-quite-neat penmanship anywhere; if Yosuke was the only person in all of Japan with that kind of handwriting, then he wouldn't be surprised. But then, that meant that he really had written it, and that was something that Souji was having trouble wrapping his head around.
But there was no mistaking what was written. And, unless Souji was greatly overestimating his relationship with Yosuke, there was really only one “best friend” he could possibly be referring to.
When You Wish Upon an Ema 2a/??

Souji had decided against going to Junes. As he reasoned it, he wasn't yet in a dire need for more groceries, and even if he didn't have quite enough to make dinner he could always order out, so there was nothing to worry about, and... And, admittedly, he was mostly avoiding Junes because he knew for a fact Yosuke was working that afternoon, and he didn't want to approach him just yet. He had a lot to think about, after all.
Like, for example, what he was going to do about that ema. He knew he'd promised himself that he would fulfill the wish, no matter what it was... but he was starting to have second thoughts. Souji was flattered, sure, but he was pretty sure he didn't feel the same way Yosuke did, and he couldn't very well lie to his friend just to make him happy. And he did want to make him happy - but how could he, when the one thing Yosuke wanted was something Souji couldn't give him

Souji groaned and rested his forehead on the paper, defeated. Perhaps he should just give in. Dating Yosuke might not be so ba- and he quickly shoved that thought to the back of his mind, surprised at himself for even considering it. I-It wasn't that he didn't like Yosuke, no, of course not. He liked him just fine - as a friend. And he was perfectly happy with their relationship staying just that - friends - even if Yosuke apparently wasn't

Didn't finish the fox s link and I have not played p4 in almost two years so I have no idea if this is 100% right or not. But I know that feeling of not writing prompts so I decided to try to give this a shot.
and I rather see prompts done than people argue about said prompts.

Souji was bored out of his mind and decided to visit the old shrine on a whim.
They just saved Naoto and overcame him, "her," shadow and now they were resting up before they continued their investigation. They still didn't find the killer yet which frustrated the silver hair teenager.
Souji found the familiar fox easily and scratched under it's chin happily, hearing it purr in content. He blinked at the new ema; he thought he was done with these but alias...
'It wouldn't hurt.' He picked it up and started to read it, curious.
"I'm in love with my best friend, Someday please let him love me too-what?" Souji squinted; why did the handwriting seem familiar.
After reading it over a few times it clicked; this was Yosuke's handwriting.
I'm in love with my best friend
Someday, please let him love me too
in Yosuke's handwriting.
