Summary: It's not everyday that you're swept off your feet by a random, handsome, nomadic, stranger.
It’s not everyday that you’re lost in a foreign country and then swept off your feet by a random stranger. A handsome, random stranger, at that, and end up on an empty alcove on the outskirts of a beach.
But that’s what happened to Oh Sehun today. Sehun, who was dragged on a trip to Paris by his idiot of a best friend Baekhyun, and Baekhyun’s boyfriend, Chanyeol, is now lying in the sun next to a guy he’d just met the other day and somehow ran into again today.
“So, you just go wherever you want?” Sehun asks.
“That’s the idea, yeah”
“And for how long?” Sehun questions further.
“I’ll tell you when I’m done,” Jongin chuckles.
It’s also not everyday that you meet a handsome, random, nomadic stranger.
“Don’t your parents worry about you?”
“I think they were just glad to see me walk again.” Jongin answers.
There’s a pause in the conversation when Sehun doesn’t know whether he should ask or not, or what type of tone he should use while asking it, when he realizes that he’s over analyzing the situation and just goes for it.
“What, did they way that you weren’t going to walk again?”
But when Jongin pauses before he answers, Sehun automatically regrets asking.
“I was never much good at being told what I couldn’t do, but then I was lying around, flat on my back for months.”
“I hate hospitals,” Sehun admits. He’s sitting now, cross legged with his hands in his lap. He’s never really talked to anyone about his dad before and the fact that he’d already told the stranger earlier that day still shocked him.
“My friends would come in everyday in the beginning, but then, I was just a reminder of something that could happen to them and end their career too.” Jongin continues. He’s still looking up at the sky though, because he knows that if he turns his head, or lifts his head, or just moves his head at all, the tears pooling in his eyes would fall. “Anyways, traveling around to wherever I wanted just seemed like the best way to get back up on my feet. Stretch my wings a little y’know?”
Sehun doesn’t answer though. He goes back to lying down next to Jongin and looks up at the sky too, wondering whether or not his dad could see him, and also still thinking about Jognin’s story too.
“You miss your dad, don’t you?” Sehun hears Jongin ask him, sees him even, since Jongin finally moved and whose body is now turned towards him.
”I don’t think I’ve found my way back yet. I went to see him, everyday, for almost two years…”
“That’s a long time” Jongin interjects and it’s then that Sehun turns to face Jongin and almost smiles before frowning a little.
“Not long enough,” Sehun admits. “Everyone at the hospital was so nice, and caring, and understanding, but…I just wanted to scream.”
“Then scream, no one else is here. Look, I won’t even listen” Jongin sits up and childishly puts his fingers in his ears as make-shift ear plugs.
Sehun smiles but soon his it fades, “I can’t though, not now at least,” and Sehun shoots Jongin an apologetic look.
“Then why don’t you stay with me, go wherever you’ve always wanted to go, and when you feel you’re ready, you can scream as loud as you want, and no one will even know who you are.” Jongin suggests.
This time Sehun really does smile at him this time, and even though Sehun hasn’t really said anything, Jongin knows that was a yes.
“You can teleport more than one person right?” Sehun asks, when he realizes the importance of knowing whether or not that was possible.
“You doubt my powers? Of course I can teleport more than once person. But hey, once we go somewhere new, we can both go wherever the wind takes us” Jongin then pokes fun at Sehun’s power which earns him a punch in the arm.
a/n: idek know where this came from, honestly. I was just thinking of stupid puns Jongin would say to Sehun and then this came out. Also, this is based off one of my favorite scenes from the movie Monte Carlo
