Between LJ and Facebook, I'm having a hard time figuring out who you're planning to vote for.

And what exactly is a Japanese flapper? It sounds slightly kinky.

I know, I just can't seem to choose between the candidates, they're all so awesome and qualified and --- Ahahahahaha, oh man, I just can't lie convincingly.

From Wikipedia, more eloquently than I could put it: The term flapper in the 1920s referred to a "new breed" of young women who wore short skirts, bobbed their hair, listened to the new Jazz music, and flaunted their disdain for what was then considered acceptable behavior. The flappers were seen as brash for wearing excessive makeup, drinking, treating sex in a casual manner, smoking, driving automobiles, and otherwise flouting conventional social and sexual norms.

The Japanese version of the flapper was referred to as "Moga," short for "Modan Gyaru" (Modern Girl).
