Star Trek
Finally got to see it. Thoughts...
-More tribbles.
-I'm not sure the altering timeline is a great way to go, felt like a cop-out. Then again, I guess if they're going to make more Star Trek movies based on this timeline, it would make more sense. All the stuff on Vulcan threw me off like the planet disappearing and Spock's mom dying...THEN I hear it's an alternate timeline? Meh.
-Spock and Uhura? Weeeeeird.
-I always thought the Kobayashi Maru was more of a secret between Kirk & crew than with the entire flippin' Starfleet. Maybe it just felt like that in Star Trek II.
-Karl Urban and Simon Pegg = win. Not sure about Christopher Pine as Kirk but...meh.
-I may have to watch this a second time to try to catch more TOS references...a lot of quotes from Star Trek II though, made me tee hee a bit.
After watching it though, I had this strange urge to go back and watch a bunch of old Star Trek episodes on YouTube and Star Trek II and III over again.
