+ found my Jan Brett newsletters which the kids will loveeeeee, for my author study unit plan

+ received children's books in the mail

I had a Take Over day today in my first grade class from start to finish. (The CT took a personal day as her husband was becoming a citizen.) Typically these Take Over days don't typically happen or are expected of you until your Take Over Week in late November. Sike! I did it today and I am not afraid to admit that I did a fabulous job. =)

Its been a great couple of days student teaching. Sometimes while I help my first graders complete their self-portrait or read with them on the rug, I feel as though I shouldn't be having quite so much fun.
