I'm completely amazed by this, and most of the credit is owed to my parents who being retired put in most of the leg work, although I do ( Read more... )

Thanks A! It feels really good to have the work that we (especially my parents) have done recognised.

I am so impressed with your allotment... I have a veggie/herb patch in my back yard that got started late this year, but everything has started to take off recently. I'm going to have tons of peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, and cucumbers. It's exciting! :)
I hope you win, because you can tell a lot of work went into it!

Thankyou Beth! I'm growing aubergines (eggplant) on one of our windowsills as it's too wet/cold to grow them outside. They've just started flowering and I'm excited to see if anything comes of them.

Sounds like your veggie patch is going really well. Isn't growing stuff so satisfying?!

Thanks Gemma, it's been a real learning experience. I'm hoping that I will have learned enough this year so that I can take some of the pre-planning responsibility off my Mum. I'm so made up that we've won best plot on the site :)
