first off..yes, it was long. but how can you not expect a guy to go over the top when this idea was what inspired him to make movies. this guy sees kong as a child and knew from that moment on that he was going to direct. if and when he got the chance to remake the thing...he was going all out and thats exactly what he did.
and second..the acting was good....except for adrian brody...i was not at all impressed with him. i thought the casting was amazing, and the the acting overall was pretty good (i really liked watts and was really impressed with black in a more serious role. but brody...he just didnt do it for me...i didnt see anything real in the guy...he fits the playwright look, but when it came time to change moods and act..he wasnt doing in my opinion
overall..i really liked it too..for it being 3 hours long, i didnt get bored at all and never once looked at my watch...good stuff
unfortunately...i missed the movie that tops them all..the room..tonight...you see it?
