This sounds pretty awesome. I love writing for tropes, because I like spinning them on their heads. My problem would be there's so many tropes I have issues with. >.< Mostly au's. On this one, I'd probably have to go straight down the middle, though I'm not entirely sure what they mean with rivals to lovers? The others are inoffensive enough I could probably get away with. I have no idea with postage stamps though.
I totally agree with band au's. Though considering I'm generally against au's, that's not surprising. They just don't seem very nerdy. And why do we care about bands anyway? I mean, sure, I like music, but the musicians lives are like, not interesting to me. I've gone on tour. It's not overly glamorous.
I think "rivals to lovers" is any story where the two romantic leads start out competing with each other/hating each other/being enemies, so basically half of my ships? Doctor/Master definitely fits this one. It *is* a trope, it's just hard to graft this one onto existing pairings that don't usually have this dynamic, and pairings that usually do don't need this trope.
Ah. Yeah, that's basically Doctor/Master slash in a nutshell, I suppose. I guess it would work with an AU or something? Maybe academy days.... I dunno. I'd be terrible at trope bingo, cause there's so many that I look at and am just like... no. Despite the fact I love writing some tropes, I just couldn't do the others. ^_^;;;
