I'm trying to upload more of my fics to AO3 and the most annoying thing is trying to find all the stuff I wrote on kink and anon memes because I NEVER bookmarked any of it, and I only remember a few things and sometimes I come across something and think: Did I write this? I think I did, no one ever de-anoned, it feels terribly familiar, it's got a ( Read more... )

this post amuses me - and also, i have NO IDEA how you will solve it if you didn't keep copies on your computer somewhere.

but also - as someone who likes your fic: it will be great to have more of them on an easily searchable archive. i hope you find everything...

btw - i will be around this evening you want to watch some more blakeless blake.

I'm too busy tonight, but thanks - btw, I listened to The Turing Test yesterday and liked it! Although it is a strange format (it's not quite an audio book, but not a proper full cast audio, either), the story was interesting and would have made a fine episode... although I think it would have been a lot funnier on screen. Somehow I find that old Paul Darrow sounds a lot like old Peter Davison - their voices have aged in the same way.

I already watched Headhunter and Assassin! Both were awesome, especially Headhunter (and especially the fact that it's called Headhunter even though there is no headhunter... it should be called Head in a Box, or Headless Homicidal Android, but that'd be a giveaway, I guess). But still, Headhunter is definitely one of my favourite Blake eps. And they nearly like each other in this one, too! They sit around in the grass together, at least. Assassin had Avon being nearly sold to Servalan at a slave auction and then being surprisingly nice to the fake First Doctor but Cancer was a bit... eh, and besides, didn't we already do this plot twist in S1? Still, also a good episode. And Soolin finally got some lines ( ... )

I have this exact same problem. There are several on the Eleventy meme which... I don't know. They seem like something I'd write and very familiar, but I was going through a rough patch then, there's no evidence anyway, and I definitely don't want to accidentally claim someone else's fic as my own. Good luck with it. At least, with the non-native speaker thing, you've got a somewhat more obvious marker to go on.

I'm glad I'm not the one one! I guess there's nothing to do - unless I want to risk an epic wank...

I know you did the Cthulhu fill I asked for, if I remember correctly. This might be a lesson to you to keep a copy on your computer for later though. XD

I did a Cthulhu thing? Where? ... wait, that was one the b_e meme, now I remember. Huh... somehow I never thought I posted this one. I must go looking for it.

Yup. For the b_e meme. I remember it was you because you accidentally de-anoned. It's here.

Cool! Thanks for the link, that saves me some time... huh, I've read it now and I really don't remember it.

I have the same problem - not with a lot of stories, but one in particular in a very small fandom's kink-meme where I was one of the very few contributors. I'm so sure that I wrote it and I'd love to post it but there is that little trace of "But did you really?" because it was so long ago and I don't want to risk posting something that isn't mine after all...

What is particularly confusing is that sometimes I fill my own prompts, and then I find something where I'm not sure whether it's just the prompt that is mine or the prompt and the story both, or whether someone just wrote exactly what I had mind!

That's... complicated XD I didn't write that many fills, so there isn't quite that much to get confused about, but sometimes, it really makes me wonder.

But I found a word document with the story I was talking about! Since I never saved any stories in a document that I didn't write, that means I wrote it! Hooray!

(I'm still tempted to de-anon on a very crackalicious Allstate-commercial-Mayhem and Loki fill.... That was awesome, and at least I know I wrote that X'D)
