I've got my fluff goggles on now, so even though I can appreciate the fine depth of emotion here, I can also say that yeah, I think this ends well.

He just kept on stroking her hair, her cheek, holding her patiently like he would wait for her because she was worth waiting for. And the thought penetrated her skin and flowed into her blood, and she was lost when she finally met his eyes again and saw that he had been waiting.

“How long?” she asked.

He smiled, a tired but brave smile. “Does it matter?”

That there, is what perfection looks like. A perfectly plausible everyday realisation. Takes real active insight in to the workings of the human mind to write fanfic.

i read this while listening to the song, the combination was almost too much to bear. so bitter sweet, i wanna cry but can't let my hubby see me doing that. lol! i feel like this is one the closest r/k fanfics to the actual truth that i've seen... they've both admitted they care for each other... in one interview Kristen says Rob has "a beautiful soul"... and we all know there's the sexual tension and longing that's so real... but maybe it will never be, maybe it will; love is an amazing thing, you're an amazing writer :) you have a beautiful mind and wonderful way of expressing it <3
