Definately messed up my plans. AMA sucked in the previous years I've been there. I wanted to give it a second chance at 07, it got a LITTLE better, but not by much. I was really looking forward to it moving to Northern VA, but I guess I'll go for AnimeNext instead. I know a few people who are going and it sounds like fun.

I'm pretty bummed too, since I've gone to AMA the past few years, and was excited about not having to get a hotel room. :P Unless we can crash at a friend's family beach house, I probably can't go. I have a feeling that summer hotels around VA beach will be a lot more expensive than Richmond.

my question is, why did they abandon dc metro? did every hotel deny them? it seems silly to go all the way out to VA Beach.

They probably didn't want to spend the extra time looking for a location. There is a place in Fredericksburg that would have been perfect for them, but they opted out to a location more familiar to those who Travel to the lower part of the state....
