This morning I got up early go to the vet's office to pick up Teego's ashes. I was half-expecting to see his ashes packed up in cardboard container that looked like something you'd get a a chinese take-out place, but the staff at the vet presented me Teego's ashes contained in a varnished, 3x6 sealed wooden box completed with certificate of ( Read more... )

you know, i don't believe in ghosts or anything, but i did express an invitation to come "visit" any time he wanted ;)

Haha. I did the same when my father passed, we each wrote a final goodbye note to him which is included in his casket and his cremains. On the night of his cremation, and the following day, a number of the sympathy cards we had standing up in the living room had fallen on the floor, no explanation. We think it was him, just saying he was still there.
