I had a really fun weekend for once! It started out quite stressful with work drama, but ended with some awesome time spent with my two best friends. Jonette and I, along with help from her boyfriend Nic and cousin Karen, planned a surprise party for Nicole's birthday at Gameworks, and although we had a hard time getting anyone to show up besides ( Read more... )

You seriously have no idea how much I love this Vaio. If it were a person I'd have given it copius amounts of sexual favors already..XD!!

Windows 7 is sooooooooooooo much less rage inducing than Vista! No more "You sure you want to do that?" Yes. "Really sure?" Yes... "Really really sure?" YES! GOD!
7 is more "You want to do this?" Yes. "Okie dokie here ya go."

It's default browser is Chrome which I don't like because it runs too slowly on my connection (which holy shit I must upgrade so I can make good use of this fantastic video card!!). Surprisingly Internet Explorer (the other pre-loaded option) runs nicely on it and doesn't do it's random "Oh hey I'm bored..gonna close now" crap.

....I'll make a post about it later when I've played around with it more...lol

Glad you're happy with it! The laptop was what Jonette and I were pushing for, but for a time we were considering either Lady Gaga tickets or a trip to the beach or E3. I kind of wanted something somewhat practical but still major/impressive, and Gaga tickets were a fortune for shit seats, so laptop it was! We all wanted something you wouldn't get for yourself because of the cost/inability to justify it, and this seemed to fit the bill.

Yeah, my brother loves Windows 7 as well. I'm going to mail Malik an unlocked copy of Ultimate this week to spare him the horrors of Vista.

That's odd that Chrome runs slowly on your connection though, it's by far the fastest browser available in benchmark tests because of it's simplicity. Firefox should run just fine on a system with specs like your Vaio though, so don't let my hatred of it kill that for you. :P
