anybody know any good puppy sites? My mom wants a small pup that she can keep up with (not a lot of walks needed) and I've been searching without much luck. She's in love with the ruby king charles cavailier spanials but there aren't any cavalier pups in seattle for under $1,000. She's willing to spend $750 on that dream dog. Otherwise she'd ( Read more... )

Is petfinder different than puppyfinder?

Also, my sis and mom have Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and they are soooo cute. But pricey...

YES. They are super good. Plus, they're small, so you can bring them lots of places.

have you looked into boston terriers or anything along those lines? its a small dog and has short hair so that would save on grooming which is always a plus in my book. have you tried looking in the paper? sometimes there are pups in there. and google search for breaders.

I'd try and sway her toward getting a rescue dog. There are so many animals that need homes, and so many of them turn into awesome pets!

Her thing is that she's always wanted this little dog and has always felt guilty about getting a designer dog. My whole life our house has been the safe haven for abandoned, injured, unwanted and troublesome pets. I feel like she deserves this little pup. Buuuuuut she still feels the guilt and if we can find a rescue pup that wouldn't be to much for her to care for then she'll go for it. This is her retirement dog and probably the last pet she'll have.

P.S. my dog joey is a rescue pet (from an awful situation) and he is THE best and smartest dog alive. Seriously.... he knows words like faster, slower, stop, ok-go, kitchen, big-bed, little-bed, chair.
