I just wanted to post this aloe here. This year after its wintering in the basement again it is pale but healthy, I keep it in the shade all summer because it gets sunburned.

hardening off-getting the plants ready for the garden
it's a good idea to take plants that were grown inside in as greenhouse or in a window and allow them a few hours of suntime to get used to being outside BEFORE you plant them. I got my two mini-greenhouses cleaned out, I planted the broccoli, cabbages, Brussels Sprouts, Zucchinis, Cukes, celery, cauliflower, etc. set out today, all of my tender stuff-I'm in zone 5, were set outside to soak up the sunshine and harden off. GARDEN FOR LIFE
Yay! Gonna plant my garden soon, I have already put in the seeds, I just need to wait until the ground is just a bit warmer, then the plants I started in my mini-greenhouses can go in the ground.
