The Strange Case of Doctor Watson and Mister Ives Part 07

Nov 18, 2010 17:25

Plans were proceeding apace when Sherlock received the phone call he had been anticipating.

He did not even bother to check the number as he stepped out into the hallway to answer it.

“So...you failed to capture Ives like you planned.”

Mycroft sighed. “He eluded me; unfortunately, he ( Read more... )

Oh dear God!! I should be in bed! Sleeping! And instead I'm reading this and sqeeing ever so loudly! ^.^
This is 'really' hotting up now; Ives is following Irene, Sherlock's meeting Moriarty, Myroft's been dupped by the psychopath (kudos to Moriarty for that :p) and now Lestrade's doing a deal with a devil...
Buggar to sleep! This is way better!
And on an extra note; Anderson playing the role of a driver injured in a car crash... I'm very sorry but my brain finds the strangest things ever so funny :p
I can't wait for you to update this... seriously... I can't... :p

Yeah strangely I had no problem figuring out what Sherlock would have used as Mycroft's speed dial LOL!

Yay an update! Oh man, this just keeps getting more and more intense! Oh well Lestrade, it was a good idea! Every is just far too smart for their own good...
And Irene is very interesting, from what we know so far.
I can't wait to see what happens next!

That is how he got the formula and was able to create an antidote. He manipulated you into thinking that the Jekyll serum is still viable so you would interfere with my plans and possibly take Ives away for further study

Sorry, I was not really sure what you meant by "viable" here. Is Mycroft supposed to believe that the serum would change someone completely or what? Brain is slow today :)

I have been waiting for your update for a while so I'm glad that you did.

Viable in this instance means "workable" or "not entirely hopeless" Moriarty wanted to appeal to Mycroft's desire for an English advantage on the global stage. If he could make Mycroft believe that there was a success, and that the serum could accomplish its purpose to make a super solider without turning them into a criminally insane maniac the Mycroft's resources would be brought to bear in acquiring Ives.

In the process Sherlock would never forgive Mycroft...John Watson and Sherlock would be permanently separated which would weaken Sherlock...and Ives would not be able to come for Moriarty.

In other words he is an evil genius after all.

Thanks! Just made it the other day in a sudden moment of inspiration. I've seen others like it but I like this one.

You're welcome on the explanation front. I have to admit writing it out I realized just how complicated it all was and just how advantageous to Moriarty...he really is a genius but next chapter he's going to miscalculate.
