It was just past 11 o'clock at night and Bailey was walking out of the library for the first time since late afternoon the previous day. "Oh, I'm sorry," he said, stopping dead in his tracks.

"Ooh, my bad," she laughed, readjusting her bag. Looking up she couldn't help but let out another giggle at the sight of the boy's face- his physical discomfort was written all over it. "Cold?" she asked, the word muffled a bit from behind the bulk of her scarf.

"It ain't ever like this in Texas," he commented, zipping up his coat even futher.
"I should really invest in some warmer clothes," he added, chuckling a bit to himself.
