Gilraen is a wonderful political strategist and a doting mother in this chapter (as well as extremely forgiving). I don't know if I could let the person who had me kidnapped and wanted to a war walk free but she explained her reasons quite clearly and they do make sense. Political problems are swept under the carpet constantly , never seeing the public light.
How will Denethor explain the slight to Boromir though when Faramir is made Steward not he? Although it does make sense as Boromir is portrayed as the warrior general and Faramir the scholar.
Finally, I love that Legolas proves his love for Aragorn by staying with him even without the spell. Now he just has to make up with Thranduil.
I'm so glad you like Gilraen. I often feel as though my female characters get short shrift and I kept her in a coma for many many chapters. Now that she's awake, I thought it would be nice if she had a role to play. ;)
And politics is rarely about justice, as you point out.
I think Boromir will be quite content to leave the post to his little brother for another position next to an Elven Princess. And it's true that Faramir is better suited to the job of of administrating a kingdom.
I hope to update sooner than this time. Thank you for reading and commenting.
As usual, another wonderful, incredible chapter. You never cease to amaze me honey. To say your work brings me pleasure to read time and again, is an understatement. I like your resolution to the situation with Denethor, subtle and just in that he'll have to live the rest of his days knowing that in actuality, his actions betrayed the one Line, the one Rule, it was his sworn duty and honor to protect. Wonderful.
Thrilled to see another chapter!!! And a brilliant one as usual. Denathorn has come a long way, Gilraen is magnanimous in her compassion. And teh elf staying of his own volition, Aragorn must know where he stands now. And yeah for Faramir!
oh goodness... that was a wild ride, especially since I read them ALL last night! I've read a majority of your fics and I'm slighly ashamed that I completely missed this one ): I really like this universe that you have created. Its very intriguing and unique... I found it very interesting that you paired Arwen and Boromir hehe and Viggo naming their child an heir after they spent one night together... very amusing I dont mind that its taken awhile... I'm still waiting for Widdershin to finish chapter and verse and thats been years now it feels How much more do you intend to write? I'll read it all twice over I'm sure
You've got stamina! Twenty two chapters in one night! I'm glad the story engaged you and I love the adjectives you use to describe it. And yeah, I can't help injecting humor here and there. It just creeps in ;)
Thanks for being patient with me. I had planned about twenty five chapters, but things have a way of growing sometimes.
Thanks again for reading and letting me know what you thought of it.
