Well, after a long hiatus, there were several movies, then spin-off Star Treks: ST:The Next Generation, ST: Deep Space 9, ST: Voyager, then Enterprise. That's a lot of Star Trek, even if it isn't all original cast. :) Dare I tell you about all the Star Trek books? ;)

Oho. No need for info on the ST books. I have a whole collection. Right next to my Bible. But the spinoffs didn't fill the whole in my heart that needed Kirk, Spock, Scotty, McCoy, Chekov, Sulu, Uhura, and Chapel. Sigh. I like some of the spinoffs, though. I am particularly fond of TNG, no matter how weird it can get.

Also, the books aren't canon! It is not the same as watching the TV show. Now if Star Trek had originally been a book series, I would be entirely content. Same goes for Doctor Who. But why not enjoy the liveliness and pure visual presentation of a TV show? I can deal.
