The park superintendent (PASU) should also compel the G2 guides to pack their own food/fuel/equipment provisions, as is always the case during the Cordillera climbs.
We had two feed our two G2 guides even though the team did not budget for them. Carrying extra supplies places an extra burden on team members and saps their energy.

hi bajay,
i know at least two ways to work around the batangas port ban, but would it be 'right' to circumvent the law?
1. during the amci anniversary party in mindoro, another port was used, but that's inconvenient for a small group.
2. in the batangas port, whatever boat you're using, inform the 'barker' that you're carrying stuff that are deemed illegal, and he'll carry it around the back and give it to you on the boat.
i believe that lighters are also confiscated, so the boat company's employees make life easier for their patrons with their assistance.
that's good customer service, isn't it? ;-)
will the batangas folks crack down on the boat folks if they read this? Hehehe.
