Dune is being remade. I didn't think I could forgive the world for remaking Motel Hell, Hellraiser or the Lost Boys and those are very trite movies. But Dune... how do you remake Dune?!!! I can't even forgive that if they actually used Giger's production art this time around. I'm going to go cry now.

Yeah... the guy who did The Kingdom and the upcoming Hancock. I see no flaw in this plan. None at all.

I'm not crying. Not at all. Its a mere infection of the tear ducts. Hence the bleeding.

I'm also not sure about the remake of the Lost Boys... things from the 80's should be left in the 80's. What's next, Weird Science?

As much as I'm a fan of David Lynch, I didn't really care much for Dune. I liked the Sci-Fi Channel miniseries much better.

And even that was just a few years ago, so I agree we really don't need a Dune remake.

In all honesty I can think of 100 better books I'd rather see turned into movies before this gets done a third time.

thank you! i thought i was the only person on this planet who didn't like that movie. besides (and a completely separate issue from not liking the movie) , sting makes me want to vomit.

I can think of many stories that could use movie treatment.

However, you have insulted Dune so I can no longer talk to you as you must be abnormal or somehow flawed. Yes, flawed!!

I will only admit that it was a confusing movie. But I'm not actually saying that to you because I cannot talk to you anymore.

I love Dune the original and the boo I have. Think there's already some pastel version of Dune out that was made a few years ago - to which I couldn't watch because it was blasphemy!
