Oh, oh, wonderful parallel that I didn't consider between Dean's willingness to push Cas here and sacrifice Cas in The End.

I've been craving angsty yet semisweet codas to this past episode. This was just right, dark and real and yet still warming. I absolutely believed this could happen in the moments we didn't see Loved it.

Yaaaay! I'm glad it worked for you! I seriously needed a little something more so I could deal with how cold Dean was towards Cas in this episode, but that little something more had to stay with the tone of the episode. I just couldn't see Dean being all visibly unconcerned with Cas and then having a fluffy behind the scenes moment with him, as much as I would have liked one. :( ANGST ABOUNDS.

I just hope Dean realizes he's being an in denial dick-head. You love that angel, maaaaaan! Just admit it! (Sadly, more and more as I watch this show I get the feeling that Dean/Castiel is an unrequited Castiel loves Dean angst-fest. *tear*) Thanks for the comment!
