旅人 の 物語Tabibito no Monogatari

Once, there were four travelers. Having different attitudes and different views in life, they still managed to get along together, with the same goal of reaching their ultimate dream - to reach an uncertain destination. They don't even know what led them to follow that dream, but what they were sure of is that as long as they are happy and smiling, that was enough.

The eldest among them was the most patient and most quiet one. The second one was brave and confident. The third was funny and energetic, while the youngest was a crybaby, and was just beginning to enter the point of maturity.

Things seemed well for them when they started out traveling together. They braved their way through rains, played by the seashore, flew kites on the hills, and enjoyed every moment they had. The four treated each other as if they were their own brothers, and truly, their friendship was one of the treasures they had.

Unfortunately, they had to part ways, with the youngest being the first one to leave. It wasn't out of selfishness, but he really had to find his own way...towards that dream he had. The second boy and the third boy agreed to travel together, with their own reasons as to why they would journey as a tandem. The eldest boy decided to stay, for he believed that his dream would someday come true without him departing from that place.

He asked his friends, "How will I be able to remember you?"

The youngest one replied, "When you look out from your window and see the sun, you will remember me. I'll never forget you for you've become a great part of my life."

The second eldest said, "Just as you see the roses around you, you will remember me. I will never forget you too."

"And if you see the summer skies and the sparkling sea, it is then that you'll be able to remember me. Stay strong, you'll always be here in my heart." answered the third one.

The eldest one smiled, "Well then my friends, I'm always around you. Remember me through the trees you see as you walk along countless paths towards your destination."

It was hard to find a happy ending...but they made their own new beginnings.
