Why do I get plot bunnies one moment and then the next the damn thing hops away!!

Sarah Williams Sat in front of  her vanity and looked at herself in the mirror. To herself, she looked older, her time in the Labyrinth had really changed her, into the young women that gazed back. Gone where her childish selfish needs and complaints. She had given up her dreams. And deep down she knew it was for the greater good.

She smiled sadly at the pictures she had around her mirror of her mother. She always wanted to be like her, a brave, beautiful actress. However she now knew that was all behind her, she had to stop living in a fairytale. Her mother, would never come back. And her Father, her Mother, and herself would never live happily-ever-after in the end. She now had a new family and it was time to forget the old one.

One by one Sarah removed the pictures. She paused looking at the caged musical dancer. She lightly fingered the dress remembering how she looked in almost the same one. Dancing with the King of Goblins himself. It was her greatest dream turned to a nightmare with all the demon like people. Sarah shuddered just thinking of how the leered and cackled.

Jareth himself was no help hiding on her, making her have to look threw the sea of people for him. Teasing her like he did. But once she did find him, he was almost breath taking. Be held in his arms she felt safe. As evil as he was, she could’ve stayed in his arms if it wasn’t for Toby.

Sighing deeply She placed the photo’s and the dancer inside her vanity along with the little red book that had started this all. As she stared again at her self A figure appeared beside her in the mirror.

“Good bye Sarah”  Ludo the child-like beast called. Sarah turned to find nothing but an empty room. Turning back to the mirror another familiar voice was herd.

“And remember fair maiden, should you need us” Sir Didymus the fox like dog, sitting on her bed sounding slightly let down. As he faded from sight Hoggle came into view.

Sarah could feel her heart break watching her friends saying good bye.

“Yeah should you need us for any reason at all” Hoggle smiled slightly. Sarah felt her eyes fill with salty tears.

“I need you Hoggle” Her voice broke, as she thought back to the last 9 hours of her life, how could she just forget that all?

“you do?“  The dwarf-goblin asked in slight awe.

“I don’t know why but every now and then in my life for no reason at all I need you, all of you” she wasn’t afraid to show just how much he, and the rest of them really meant to her.”

“Well why didn’t you say so” And with that everyone from her time in the Labyrinth was in her room. Someone turned on her music, and all of a sudden there was balloons confetti, and rich smelling food. It was a victory party for a job well done. Sarah’s face lit with joy as she ran the short distance across her room to hug her friends.

Everyone was there that helped her on her journey. The gang of wild Goblins know as the Fierys. The little Old trash women that tried to stop Sarah from reaching the Goblin city. Even  the Guards that had asked the riddle that had landed her up in the Obiet. She spotted Goblins who not long ago where in the great battle to keep Sarah and her friends out, and Sarah couldn’t have been happier to see them all once more.

However she knew deep down one person was missing from the party.

She looked around for him in the sea of faces but the Goblin King himself was no where to be found. Sarah looked to her vanity and sighed looking at her Goblin King Doll. She felt a small amount of pain in her heart for him not being there, but she wouldn’t let her friends notice.

As she laughed and went on dancing with all of her new friends, an Owl watched from the window and felt the same pain Sarah did. He knew she couldn’t understand just what she was giving up. He would’ve gave the child back if that’s what she wanted. He also knew that if he tried just a little harder  he could’ve made her stay, after all this Owl was the Goblin King.

He made a vow to himself then and there. That when the time was right, He would come back for her. And this time there would be no stopping him from getting just what he wanted. And all he really wanted was her to give into him. And after all, everything he had done for the girl, she at least owed him that.

And with one last look at the girl who had won everything,  the Goblin King flew off into the night as the party went on.

Sarah wondered while being spun by the Fierys, if anyone would come into her room to demand her to turn down her music. Not being plagued by the question too long Sarah decided that they all should play a game of limbo.

Explaining the game to all of them she got an old skipping rope from under her bed ad began to show them all how to play. One after another her friends went under the skip rope. As the rope moved down, and most of her friends being kicked out of the game for falling or touching the rope , Sarah got herself ready for what she thought would be the last round with one of the  Fierys. Leaning back just far enough Sarah started to move.

Hoggle not knowing this moved next to Sarah gabbing her so she wouldn’t fall knocked over Sarah’s Goblin King stone like doll, which fell off and hit Sarah right on the head casing the girl to black out. At the same time Ludo had moved  which caused him to knock over Sarah’s Hoggle book end. The book end hit Sarah in the face and broke her nose.

The party had stopped , no longer was everyone dancing and laughing. As the music played on there was a sudden feeling a dread that plagued the room. Hoggle poked Sarah in the ribs to see if she was still alive. Sarah didn’t make a sound, he body still like stone. All the Goblins began to panic, they had no idea how to deal with humans when they became like this. Just before anyone could think of a plain there was a knock at the door

“Sarah Turn down that music, Do you have any idea what time it is” A very annoying female voice came threw the other side of the door. “you have till the count of three to turn down that music, or I‘m coming in.” The Goblins not wanting to be left as fast as they could taking their mess with them forgetting almost about their friend. “One…..two….Three!”

And that’s how Sarah’s stepmother found her, left laying on her floor, knocked out  with a bloody nose.
