I find that kids who act out like that are often neglected. They seek human interaction and acting out in a negative way is the only way they have found to get sure attention from their parents. It's a bit sick and it leads to unpleasant traits later in life, if they don't work through their issues.

-snicker- It's not a case of 'beat the kids', it's a case of 'what would a reasonable person do when preventing a child from whacking people with a cricket bat'. Most people I've met would say 'slap the child' - here a light tap to the head or arm.

The child in this program is the opposite of neglected. It's spoilt, and thinks the best way to get its own way is to hit and bite. One wonders where it could have picked up that impression, as you don't get the idea that it's attending Kindergarten.
