Dreams from a sleep deprived brain.

I just had like o-o;; a really weird but very interesting dream.

It started out in this warring country.

I was living in a little shack with Chichi (chi02) who was my sister, and our next door neighbor was Zack (xervis) who lived with his mother and father whom he generally disliked (both in my dream and irl). Both families were basically farmers of sorts.

Basically our nation was at war with another one, but our government was very oppressive, and a lot of people in our country were rebelling the system with nerf guns (because nerf guns are cool like that). And we made several sneak attacks on a near by army, but some of us were often caught and punished with a plastic baseball bat to the back (I think I've been working at Toys R Us for too long when all the weapons in my dreams become toys.)

Anyway, one day Chichi, Zack and I discover a wounded horse, and we take it to Zack's farm and nurse it back to health. Zack's mom finds out and becomes possessive and overprotective of it. For some reason here, the horse starts to talk to us too and called himself Black Beauty. Lol 8| idkw.

One day, we decide we want to escape and get away from this area because we heard the the enemy country was actually helping liberate our country from our government, and there were areas that were now free and safe. Another reason we decided we were going to run away was because our government was turning our village into a military camp, so it was too dangerous there.

So with Zack on the horse, as we started to sneaking out when Zack's mom caught us and we tried to make a run for it. Just as we were getting away, the enemy country attacked the village/military camp with REAL artillery, and the horse was injured.

We remember that Zack's house had a safe house of sorts and decided it was probably safer to wait out the attack. The horse tells us to get on his back even though he was injured so that we could get there more quickly. Just as we were almost there, the horse is injured even more to the point he couldn't walk anymore. We were all crying and begging him not to give up and that we were  all so close to being safe, but the horse yelled at us to get into the safe house and that he would be alright and that he wouldn't die.

So we reluctantly go into the safe house and wait out the attack. When we finally come out, of course we find that Black Beauty was dead and I actually somewhat woke up at this point to cry.

After that, our village had been freed from our government and everyone was reconstructing their lives. Chichi and I sold our little shack to Zack's parents and we moved into Zack's with him to rebuild his house. We made a special grave for the horse.

Anyway we were given a rare pet bird from the liberating army as an apology for killing our friend/horse. Zack being the idiot that he is accidentally let it escape. We got worried that liberating army would get angry for losing such a rare bird and wondered if we could get it back.

Now here's where it gets weird. Right then a fucking pterodactyl comes crashing through our ceiling. Of course it's injured after that so we heal it up and it tells us it's thankful and asks if there's anything he can do in return. We tell him that we need to find the rare bird or something like it, and he says that he can fly two of us on his back to look for it.

So Chichi and I climb onto his back and we take off leaving Zack behind. As we're flying the pterodactyl tells us how are a lot of different types of rare birds and that they're just in different sections of the world. Chichi and I decided that maybe if we settle for just one rare bird, no matter what it looks like and hoping that the liberating army won't be angry with us.

Anyway, while we land to eat and gather supplies, we hear about a rare fire bird on a distant island that is guarded by a magic school. We decide we'll go and investigate.

As we fly to this island we see a giant volcano and a giant tree of equal size growing at the foot of the volcano. The tree had been converted to a building of sorts, we can see that the tree is the school. So Chichi and I enroll as students there.

We learn that the bird is called Yamato (I don't know why my sleep deprived brain chose this name 8|), and that the whole Island is called Yamato Island and the school is called Yamato Magic School and such. Yamato is apparently their sacred bird and that it rarely appears before anyone, but it's their duty to protect it. As we attend school and it's classes, we kind of sneak around and snoop around. We get the idea that some of the teacher's know of our snooping around and are keeping a close eye on us so we try to be careful.

We eventually find this bit of information that there's actually a second reason for the school, and that it's actually a cult dedicated to worshiping Yamato, and that they got to see Yamato on a regular basis. Suddenly Yamato actually appears in front of us and looks at both Chichi and I before disappearing again, sending the teachers into an uproar.

Apparently Yamato doesn't usually make appearances in front of people unless they're chosen by him for some reason. They turn Chichi and I into Yamato Maidens, and it makes us uneasy. But we find out more information on the cult and find out that the Principal is the head of the cult. We also learn that there's a little bit of brainwashing to be had and that most cult members are being controlled by the Principal.

So we're trying to continue being normal students going to school, snooping around is strangely becoming a little easier and we were able to get into the upper layers of the school, which are in the branches of the tree. We see some cult action there.

Lately we've also been feeling slightly ill and find out that the Principal was having people put drugs in our food. Apparently this was to make it easier for him to capture and brainwash us himself.

I devise a plan that doesn't involve Chichi because I thought it was too dangerous. This plan was to let myself get brainwash but cast on myself deep hypnosis so that I can break the brainwash later on and have the Principal believe that I am still under his control.

So I get brainwashed and I go up to my first cult meeting in this shrine in the highest parts of the tree branches, all the while the brainwashing is becoming less and less effective. The Principal is really creepy and calls everyone his children and now that the Yamato Maidens have joined them as followers, they were sure to please Yamato even more. When he said 'Yamato Maidens' I then notice Chichi there and I try not to look shocked.

Just then Yamato comes out of no where and starts tearing and destroying the Shrine and Principal starts going crazy, asking why Yamato was attacking them when they worshipped him for his greatness. Yamato screams and lunges for the Principal but Chichi and I step forward in the path and beg Yamato to stop. Yamato stops and speaks, although we were the only ones able to hear him. He said that his purpose here was to guide life, and that he had no wish to become an idol.

He also tells us that he is at the end of his lifespan and that he doesn't want to leave his descendants in the hands of people who would worship them in fear they will think of themselves as gods and forget their purpose in life. He also said that he chose us because he could sense that we were not from the island and that we had come seeking him. He had hoped that if these people did not change their ways that we would take his descendants away from this place where they could be raised properly.

We tell the Principal what Yamato told us and the Principal begs for forgiveness because he grew up admiring Yamato and let his affection for the mythical beast take hold of his reason. Yamato forgives him and asks him if he will raise the next generation properly and the Principal says he will.

Right afterward Yamato bursts into flame and crumples to ashes. We panic but I remember the legend about phoenixes and how they are reborn from their ashes. Just as I say that, two tiny fiery pom-poms shake off the soot and start chirping. These pom-poms turn out to be little phoenix chicks and it is decided that Chichi and I would get one of them to raise.

Aaaand just as we're saying goodbye to everyone on the island I wake up.

WOW WHAT A CRAZY DREAM. I seem to only get really vivid dreams when I'm utterly exhausted :|
