Oh no! You look out the window and see the aliens descending upon France. They're not paying much attention to you, in fact, they seem mostly interested in digging up your campus. Maybe they've found a hidden treasure? Or perhaps they're geologically inclined aliens.

It's very late at night, so you know you're the only one who's awake to see them. And when one of them steps into the light, you see its form, and ... oh my god! It's like you're hallucinating! And my god, this one has five eyes! And there's another, with, with, you can't even describe the horror! What do you do!? WHAT DO YOU DO?!?!?!

For the record, the first "alien" is Hallucigenia, the second is Opabinia, and the third is Anomolocaris. All lived in the Cambrian, and all were pretty small. But still very odd by modern evolutionary standards.

My reaction would probably be "HOLY CRAP RUN AWAAAAAAY" and hope I could make it up the hill to my dorm before the buggy critters could get to me! Or alternately I'd be frozen in place, hoping they were herbivores and wondering if a roundhouse would do any damage....

I know in high school and college you've found that you enjoy lacrosse and tae kwon do, but did you ever do any sports in grade school? If so, did you enjoy it?

I think the more accurate question would be what sports didn't I play?
Lets see. I tried soccer and t-ball, volleyball, basketball, softball, swimming, and apparently I attempted cross country, but I don't remember that. The only ones I enjoyed enough to participate in more than one season were basketball and swimming. I was absolute crap at both. The one and only time I ever made a basket was in a game in the third grade! After seventh grade, though, I dropped sports altogether in favor of volunteering at the zoo.

Question.. uhm... this is hard.. okay... are your eyes brown? Cause I think they're brown.. but I honestly can't remember.. green maybe? Not blue...?

YES! Please feel free to come bug me! Give me a call or something once you know when you're coming, so I can pick you up at the train station. Someone can squish onto the bed with me, but someone's gonna have to sleep on the floor. I swear I'll scrub it in advance!

And my eyes are hazel. They tend to fluctuate between brown and green, and occasionally a really pretty amber. I like my eyes. Except for the fact they don't work right
