Family Troubles and Deaths

Yeah, I meant to post this but I haven't got the time. And I hope you enjoy this one.

Death in Verona

The cold night fell on the small, but rich town. Silence filled the deserted place, making it seemingly possible to hear pin fell from the tallest building.

But two figures ran through the streets, ignoring the echoes of their footsteps. With the windows closed, no one saw what those two were doing. But the sounds of their shouting filled the once silent town, waking those who were sleeping.

They ran through the small alley, stopping on a dead end. The moonlight finally shone clearly, giving a clear view on the figures.

The taller of the two stood up. Her grey eyes were like a hawk’s, watching her prey closely. Unusual calmness was clear on her face. She gave a hand to her companion, helping her out.

“Julie, you don’t need to run you know.” The younger one said. Her expression was filled with ecstasy. Her eyes were wild, searching around and looking for something. Her nose was bleeding. The blood stain on her shirt was fresh; clearly her nose had bled earlier.

Julie shook her head furiously. “You have to stop this Hermia. You’re killing yourself; do you want to make Grandpa mad?”

Hermia laughed freely. “Oh really? I thought Grandpa didn’t care about me and Tybie. You know how he is Juliette, you’re his little princess”

Juliette twitched. ‘Calm yourself Juliette, she’s drunk’ she thought to herself.

“And don’t hold yourself back sis, you know you love me so much you wanna beat the shit out of me. Admit it; you’re not the nicest girl.” Hermia slung her arm around Juliette for support.

‘That’s it,’ she thought. ‘After all I’ve done for her she keeps talking nonsense! Drunk or not she’s being a jerk’

“Ohh Juliette! Sing me another song about your summer love, the way you stole Romeo’s heart and dear old Puck away from me. How you managed to toy with them before dumping sweet Romeo…” Hermia sang drunkenly.

This drove Juliette off the wall. Then she did something she has never done before.

She punched Hermia right in the face. Her nose bled harder, as she stumbled backwards and hit the brick wall behind her. Juliette held her on the collar, and then pushed her on the wall.

“You don’t like it when I’m angry Mia.” She whispered dangerously. She could smell the hard liquor from Hermia’s breath.

Hermia struggled to break free, but instead got strangled by Juliette’s grip.

“Julie, don’t. I’m kidding sis, I’m kidding. You know I’m a drunken bastard right now, sweetheart” she said hoarsely as her breath began to change pace.

Juliette released Hermia from her death grip. Throwing her flaming red hair back she glared at the younger girl.

“Stay away from that Mercutio. He’s bad influence” she hissed.

Hermia stood up slowly and walked- more like dragged her feet beside Juliette.

“You hypocrite, you’re telling me to stay away from Mercutio while you’re screwing his brother? This is low Julie, even for you.”

“I’m not screwing that man-whore. And for your information, Puck and I are happy together.” Juliette said furiously.

“Summerdream? You can have him. He’s a prick, Mr. Know-It-All. No wonder you two look good together, you’re such a bitchy two-shoes.”

This earned a slap from the older Capulet. Hermia laughed again, making Juliette angrier by the second. In a few minutes, she beat up her own sister. She kicked, and punched, until she strangled the alcohol-consumed girl.

“Your Highness, you don’t want to kill me do you?” she whispered softly. She finally lost her conscious, and everything turned dark. Her heartbeats slowed down, and her breaths were cut short.

“Maybe I do. It doesn’t matter now, does it?” Juliette barked.

Slowly Hermia slumped to the ground. Her face whitens as all the blood had stopped flowing in her veins. Her grey eyes faded from all its living proof. Her mouth gaped open, as she tried to breathe. But it was useless, she fell limp to the ground with her hair covering her face. And with that, Hermia Capulet died.

“Do you still want to challenge me Mia?” Juliette said in a low voice. She kicked her sister’s body before letting out a bottle of wine. She dropped the bottle on the ground, and it crashed loudly near Hermia’s body. The remaining pieces grazed Hermia’s pale cheeks.

“You’re drunk. It’s just an accident.” She said again, putting an emphasis on the last word. She picked up a piece of glass and pocketed it.

Juliette turned on her heels and left the crime scene, smiling smugly to herself. She let the body lying on the alley for someone else to find. No one will suspect her, she’s Hermia’s closest sibling. And the moon was the only witness to the murder, as Juliette walked back to the Capp mansion.
