another scene's backgrounds
I'll try to post more of my progress here at Livejournal. I feel I neglected you guys a bit.
So what did I do today? I wrote about three pages for my thesis and I made the backgrounds for the second scene, Marin's home. I really like how grim and foreboding they've become even while using purple. heh. I like purple. But you guys know that. ;)

Mooi, dat paars, en ik vind het ook een erg leuke stijl. Ben heel benieuwd naar het eindproduct, er zit heel wat time and dedication in!

What I love about the style here is not just the purplish and and the smooth vector look, but the... 'anti-straight' look. Like the iPod/PDA-device in the last screen, you can see the lines aren't aligned at all. Perspective, papers, books, doors, windows in the tower model, they're all a bit not-straight. That's the style of the animation and that's what gives it its own unique character. :)
Meanwhile, don't worry, we know you're not neglecting us :D
