This week, Holmes is ill, Watson hovers, and predictably, all is not as it seems. Discuss! (I have a brilliant excuse for being late this week, but I can't tell you what it is - pretend it was deliberate).
Paint me like one of your French girls...
1. How sick do you honestly believe Holmes was? There are hints both ways in this - which side do you believe?
2. This time, the servant was the victim. Making up for last time, or just chance? (Or something else?)
3. Was this mystery horribly boring, or was it just me? I am happy to be wrong about this.
4. Watson has a boyfriend. Apparently an old army one who randomly invites him to short stays in the country. Does anyone else find this mildly suspicious?
5. Hands up if you are much more curious about the Netherland-Sumatra Company and a case which actually wore Holmes out to the point of breakdown?
