Yuui's Full Profile

Feb 07, 2011 01:18

Name: Yuui Flourite
Series: Shiritsu Horitsuba Gakuen
Timeline: Somewhere among Chapters 1-4 of Shiritsu Horitsuba Gakuen
Canon Resource Links: http://xxxholic.wikia.com/wiki/Horitsuba_Gakuen, http://www.mangafox.com/manga/shiritsu_horitsuba_gakuen Well there really isn't anything much out there for this series. It's more like a break off, au for Tsubasa and Holic. And there are some odd differences. In Tsubasa Yuui is Fai's actual name, this is a spoiler but only a small one. In Shiritsu Horitsuba Gakuen, Fai is Fai's actual name and Yuui is the twin. Yuui is a little more calm/mellow than Fai, and polite as he doesn't torment Kurogane. The only visible difference between the two appears to be that Yuui has longer hair than Fai, which he usually keeps tied back in a short tail. He teaches Home Ec (though apparently managed/worked at a restaurant in Italy before moving to teach), appearing to be an excellent cook. That's really about all there is about him, I hope that's okay. I really hope I do a good job with this and I'm open to opinions, especially since we have a Tsubasa Fai here.

Personality:

Yuui seems to be a kind, sweet individual. He is known for a smile and quiet encouragement, through gestures, expressions, and words. Along with what appears to be ample amounts of patience, seems to make him a decent enough home ec teacher, but enjoys spicing things up ever so often in his own layed back way. Despite his cheerful disposition, he is much less prone to disrupting the class/school on a loud, messy level than his twin.

The young man is prone to bouts of melancholy, drifting airily through his thoughts and losing track of the world around him without meaning to. He tends to be overly thoughtful about various things, most of which concern his brother, students, class, dinner, the meaning of life... It goes on from there and has a tendency to flow all into one. However he is professional in class, and highly attentive where it or his brother are concerned.

While he can be known to be playful at times (He is related to his twin after all) he also prefers to be the level headed one of the siblings, and will do what he can to look out for his brother and others who he deems important. His patience is never ending with the Science teacher, and he hardly seems to notice or find himself bothered by the absurd things that the man does (He may occasionally feel bad for those involved, but this goes mostly unvoiced). In fact, Yuui seems quite happy to be around the loud, excitable events at their school, drinking them in and experiencing the atmosphere.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

♦Baking/Cooking: Yuui is a master in the kitchen, he enjoys whipping up culinary masterpieces that are pleasing to the eye and palate. His specialty appears to be deserts.

♦Kind hearted: He appears happy to help, and more than willing to teach if given the opportunity. His calm/kind nature is soothing in comparison to his twin.

♦Calm, Level headed: Yuui can keep his head in most situations, used to the excitement he was thrown into and caught in the middle of in his prior life/world. So he can probably look at a situation or be thrust into something without being too flustered/freaked out.

♦Patience/Diligent: Being a teacher and chef, Yuui is quite diligent and patient with any tasks at hand. He can patiently see something through to the end, no matter how tedious it might seem, not letting it frustrate him or inspire him to rush.

♦Teaching: Yuui is good at showing people how to do things, if they need the help. He keeps criticism to a minimum and does what he can to help them improve, while encouraging them and boosting their confidence.

♦Musically inclined: Yuui has been noted on being able to play the piano, but he has not for a very long time. His long slender fingers are one of the few signs that he can.

♦Marksmanship: Yuui used to be a good shot with a bow, he has the wear from doing so evident on his knuckles, but it's also been a very long time.

◊Spacey: The man is prone to spacing out, and drifting in his own little world when there is nothing to focus on, it can lead to him missing things or not hearing what there is to be heard the first time.

◊Self-sacrificing: He will choose what is best for someone else, over himself, even if it costs him his own happiness or well being. This is a double edged sort of thing, some can see it as good, but it's also something of a liability.

◊Indulgent of others: Yuui is patient to a fault, so someone doing something out of turn or acting out will go overlooked by him. Instead of cracking down on the problem and correcting them, he'll let it go unless it seems serious enough for him to say so. This could be seen as promoting bad behavior, even if he doesn't mean it to be so.

◊Not a fighter: Yuui isn't known for getting into fights, and due to his lanky, thin frame, he probably wouldn't do much for a fight, nor does he seem to have any real experience given his prior way of life.

◊ Low Confidence: Yuui hasn't got a whole lot of confidence in himself beyond his talents in the kitchen. He prefers to stay low key for the most part, not believing in himself as much as he does the talents of others (especially his brother), or is more prone to boost their confidence rather than his own.

First Person Sample:

From here on, I shall keep this small journal of my activities and progress made on exploring and trying to make sense of what I first thought to be a rather odd dream.

I found myself completely befuddled by the realistic atmosphere if this had been a dream. I've never experienced anything quite so vivid, and after pinching myself so hard I bruised (several times) I decided that this couldn't possibly be a dream.

The need to find out what's going on is first and foremost in my mind, or it was until I found myself wondering if anyone else met the same fate I did. My brother, fellow teachers, students? I'm not sure if I should feel worried for their safety or not, having no idea about this particular... Place... World... Thing...! I've decided some worry is obviously necessary, but it doesn't seem so bad, and at the very least similar to where I was before to an extent.

The only thing distracting me from any of this, is the fact that I woke up with a rather adorable little one near by. I assume it's an infant creature, it's too silly to be an adult. Well... I suppose it could be older than it looks, childish antics or no. But I can't help but feel to have left it behind would have been irresponsible. It clearly needs someone to look after it, and I have to say one adorable look from it (and I think it said something, but it seemed like gibberish to me), and I felt instantly attached. So I shall do what I can to raise it (as I've since discovered is my responsibility, from what I can see and hear from those around me), while I travel.

Since 'little one' felt impersonal, I have taken to calling it Sachi▬

Oh dear, Sachi appears to be hungry, and I believe I might be as well, I think it's time to go and make something for both of us.

Until next time,
Yuui

Third Person Sample:

Yuui woke up, hand raising to brush in front of his face and blot out the bright sun in the sky above his head, at first he thought he may have fallen asleep on the top of the school building after class while waiting for Fai, but upon sitting up and lowering his hand he found himself in plush grass, along the side of a road. "What...?" he mumbled, eyes widening as he took in the sight. That couldn't be right, he never made a habit of waking up beside the road. That was fair foolish!

"Perhaps I haven't woken up yet... This is just a dream..." He mumbled, and rubbed his eyes a few times, taking another moment to quietly look around at his new surroundings. When they didn't change, he took a moment to note how realistic and clear this supposed dream was. It was disconcerting, really, especially when he felt he should probably hope this was a dream.

"Okay so... If this is a dream... I should wake up now." Yuui commented to himself, as he calmly raised a hand and moved it over to his other arm, pinching hard. When nothing changed (aside from the pain from pinching ones self) he tried again, and then a third time with a little wince. "Okay so, not likely a dream." If not a dream, then what? The idea that it might have been the outcome of too much drinking also seemed off, he wasn't one to get entirely smashed. Maybe a little silly some times, but never to the extent that anything like this happened.

"Togepi!" something trilled not far from his side. Yuui turned his head quickly to find the source of the sound, it sounded to him like a little child of some sort. "Togepii~!" The thing, where ever it was, sounded again, leading his eyes to a thicker clump of grass. Brushing it aside, he felt the very idea that this wasn't even his own world creeping into his head. A small, cream colored creature, partially encased in what looked to be an egg printed with triangle patterns, pranced about and half rolled happily in the grass, before tripping and rolling up to him.

It stared for a moment, before a little happy expression crossed it's face and it wiggled it's arms at him, "Togepiii!!!" it exclaimed, as if it had known him forever, and he were some how incredibly important to it.

"O-oh... Oh dear..." he mumbled, partially concerned all the more (For his situation, or the creature's well-being after falling is up for debate) and partially weakened to the adorable sight. He reached down with a gently smile and picked it up, to which it did not seem displeased as it wiggled again. "Well, I suppose this is how a lot of grand adventures start in books, isn't it little one?"

((There is hardly anything for Yuui really, I'm mostly going off of what I saw/felt from the manga, and other things. Plus factoring in that he is Fai's twin, figuring/assuming things from that. I am open to changing anything really if anyone sees fit, I wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes or provide a bad characterization.))
